W Communications

This was a year that saw W fearlessly expand into new services and territories. It was also our most awarded year to date, including 6 Cannes Lions and a much-reputed Campaign of The Year accolade at the Purpose Awards, in a year in which we were shortlisted for a phenomenal 42 awards and won over 30.

It was a year that saw us replace low margin services with high margin solutions and fully in-house ad campaigns – pursuing additional remit from non-PR businesses. We won new clients, from Aston Martin and Tinder to RFU and Nobu. Global revenue grew by 7% to £27m and W was one of only six UK PR agencies to experience real growth of at least 10 percent in 2023, according to The Moore Kingston Smith Annual Survey to 22 November 2024 – noting growth led by stand-out influencer work. W also bravely pursued a strategy of decentralisation that would make every employee an owner of the business – transforming the business into to an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT). We also increased salaries, supercharged our ‘health and wealth’ benefits; and invested in sustainability, citizenship, industry innovation and inclusion through our award-winning social enterprise, WX.
