The work produced by Saatchi & Saatchi excelled in 2023 - from the relaunch of EE to the first John Lewis Christmas campaign from the agency. As one of the best pitch strategists in the business he was influential in the growth of the agency, winning both OVO and Mondelez but also the pitch of the decade in the John Lewis Partnership, alongside significant organic growth from BT Consumer, a client Richard has partnered with for over a decade. Richard continued to influence the wider strategy community in 2023 through his social content, numerous trade and mainstream press articles and speeches. Most notably in May he launched ‘What the fuck is going on?’, a raw analysis of the state of the UK, drawn from new national research he commissioned. Beyond this, in 2023, Richard has taken the wisdom of marketing to new places through national press articles on economics and politics in Management Today and The Independent. Alongside his ongoing work in opening up conversations about mental health across the industry.
