DDB EMEA

This year made us seek a different way to stay connected to employees, clients and partners, seek new revenue streams, restructure our operational set up and implement more efficient processes, whilst not losing sight of our belief that “Creativity is the Most Powerful Force in Business”. As a result, we launched highly acclaimed campaigns for brands such as Tag Heuer in France, Playstation in the UK, Porsche in Poland and McDonald’s in Sweden, addressed freedom of speech for Reporters Without Borders in Germany by clever use of a Minecraft library, and rolled out another heartwarming Christmas campaign for John Lewis.

A global gaming network centered in Prague was launched in response to the 63% category growth during lockdown.

Our largest agencies remained at the top of their game: adam&eveDDB claimed multiple AOY titles throughout the year, and Spain and Poland crowned the local Effectiveness leagues.

We won more than 80 significant new business pitches, some with regional/global scope: Finlandia Vodka, Gilead, MTN and Quorn. Existing clients McDonald's, Unilever and Volkswagen trusted us with more assignments and brands.

Understanding that purpose has become more important than ever before, and staying committed to creating a workplace as diverse as the marketplace we serve, we appointed no less than seven women to creative leadership roles across the region, and we put Diversity and Inclusion at the top of our agenda.

Of course, success is a product of talent, and long term DDBers were promoted and celebrated throughout the year.
